Learn how to embrace the lifestyle
Commit to health lifestyle by making time to do the things you SHOULD be doing.
If you have a family, make it a family event! Anyone who works out (and works out RIGHT) will tell you that there is no such thing as a ‘good time’ or the ‘right time’ and in fact, they have to make time.
We have to make time in our lives to cook dinner, brush our teeth, or take a shower because we know society and peers don’t appreciate it when we have bad breath or smell stinky! But our bodies don’t appreciate it when we don’t take care of ourselves! Back aches, feet aches, migraines, the list goes on. Our bodies are telling us to make the time to do something better for our bodies, and it doesn’t have to be boxing! It can be low key like Tai-Chi, something fun like dance lessons, or even just creating a walk path for you and the dog. (And trust me, the dog will thank you!)
No more excuses! You HAVE the time, and it doesn’t take a lot of money!
You need to take an active role in self-awareness. It’s not difficult to be healthy. But it is hard to stay motivated to make the right choices. Health and well-being is an attitude. And many think it’s about “go big or go home” but that type of attitude really doesn’t motivate us. You need to make small changes and goals that are easy to hit that re-motivate you. For example, losing 5 pounds is something to strive for. You can be creative in how you lose 5 pounds. Give yourself a deadline. Losing 50 just feels impossible.
Are you a busy mom? Even MORE reason why you should be paying attention!
Not only as a parent do you set the example, YOU are in charge of what comes in and leaves the house! The type of food you buy sets the lifestyle. Those small goals that you set for yourself set the tone and the attitude for the entire family.
